Many law offices are unable to get their clients to leave them an online review. It’s a common problem.

Fortunately, it’s something that can be easily fixed with this simple trick!

Why Do Clients Refuse To Leave Reviews?

To know how to fix the problem you need to understand why customers are failing to give reviews in the first place.

It isn’t because they changed their mind about your services. They’re still happy with what you did for them and in most cases would love to leave a glowing testimonial.

They would do it, but it’s too difficult.

Leaving a review involves several steps and can be frustrating if someone isn’t sure what they’re doing. Many people attempt to leave a testimonial and just give up.

To combat this, you need to make it as simple as possible for the client to write a review. Here’s exactly how to do it.

How To Make It Foolproof For Your Clients To Write A Review

To make it easy on your customers you should provide them with a link that takes them directly to the place they can leave a review on Google.

To do this go to Google and search for your law office. You’ll see your firm’s information show up on the right of the screen. Click the option to leave a review.

This will pull up a window where you can select the star rating and type in your testimonial. Go to the search bar and copy the url.

Take the url over to Goo.gl. This is a free tool that shortens urls. Paste your url in the box and submit. This will produce a short, clean looking url for you. Copy it and send it to your client.

That’s all you have to do! When the client clicks the link, it will take them to the same review box that you saw when you copied the url. Most people have a Google account or Gmail and if your client is already logged in then the review box will automatically bring up their name.

By giving your clients this link, you’ve taken away the complex steps that they would try to avoid. It’s now fast and simple for them to type a quick review.

Some attorneys I know leave this url in their email footer. If you’re confident in your services and not afraid of a negative review, then this could be a good option for you. If not, keep this url to send with a nice note to clients asking them for a moment of their time to leave you a positive review.

Start Getting Reviews For Your Law Office’s Website

Take this easy tip and start sending the link to your own clients. You’ll see how much easier it is for them to fill out a review. This is the best way that I’ve found to get clients to follow through with leaving a testimonial and it only takes a few minutes of your time to create the link to do it.
